The sequel, Famicom Detective Club: The Girl who Stand Behind follows a young detective trying to solve the mystery of a schoolgirl's murder, who was herself trying to solve a ghost story. Both games are similarly constructed to the Phoenix Wright games, where the player must investigate several locations and look for clues, while interviewing anyone who may have some information on what happened.
